During my thesis, a new process has been developed for the synthesis of hyberbranched polyether polyols based on the monomer glycidol. Afterwards, the resulting polymers were applied as an educt or platform for polymeranalogue functionalizations at the alcohol endgroups. Thus, it was possible to synthesize hyperbranched polyethers with a similar scaffold but different endgroups. The latter were used in a special spray process in order to actively influence the mineralization process of calcium carbonate.
