Title:
Viscoelastic vapor bubble collapse near solid walls and corresponding shock wave formation
Abstract:
This study investigates the influence of viscoelasticity on the collapse of aspherical vapor bubbles near a solid boundary through numerical simulations. A fully compressible three-dimensional finite volume method is employed, incorporating a single-fluid homogeneous mixture cavitation model and the simplified linear Phan-Thien Tanner viscoelastic constitutive model. The collapse dynamics, liquid jetting, shock wave formation, and associated pressure impact are analyzed, and the viscous and visc...     »
