n this work, a new method to transport the pilot rope of a suspension bridge using an un-manned aerial System (UAS) will be introduced. The use of a UAS should be environmentally friendly while saving the transport costs in comparison to other conventional methods used in projects up until now. Throughout the years the idea of using a UAS on construction sites became more and more popular. In recent years examples of transporting a pilot rope with a UAS succeeded around the world. However, there are few detailed piecesof research and documentation to explain and explore this kind of use further.By combining the knowledge of rope statics and force distribution of a UAS, it is possible to achieve an insight of an ideal flight situation quickly with the help of software. To demon-strate the possibility of this method, a detailed calculation of the longest suspension bridge will be presented. Furthermore, the few projects using this method will be calculated and compared to each other to find out if there is potential for improvement.
