The current construction techniques need to be adequately aligned with the latest technological and technical advancements. Consequently, the integration of novel construction methodologies is essential for addressing the demands of contemporary society. This thesis explores the potential incorporation of robotics into the construction industry to bridge this technological gap. To achieve this goal, the research will commence with a comprehensive literature review of current construction activities, various types of robots, and their operational methodologies. Following the literature review, a comparative analysis will be conducted to assess the capabilities and potential applications of different robots within the construction sector. Subsequently, a group of agents will be studied in terms of several factors in order to determine their capability to build a wall. Furthermore, a realistic simulation will be developed using one of the types of arm robots to demonstrate its practical implementation in a construction environment. The simulation will entail the creation of a virtual model of a construction site and integrating the selected robotic system to perform specific tasks. The development and visualization of the simulation will be conducted utilizing tools such as ROS (Robot Operating System), MoveIt, and RViz. ROS will serve as the foundation for robot software development, MoveIt will be employed for motion planning, and RViz will facilitate the visualization of the robot’s movements and interactions within the simulated environment.
