This paper deals with a diffraction type problem for equations of
complex, radiative-conductive, heat transfer in a four-layer medium,
modeling skin. The radiative heat transfer is described using the
so-called diffusion P-1 approximation, and Fresnel matching conditions
are imposed at the layer interfaces. Thus, a problem of conjugation is
under consideration. The unique solvability of this highly nonlinear
problem is proven. Numerical simulations related to the penetration of
solar radiation into skin are performed.
