The aim of this thesis was to provide a database, which can be used to estimate the life cycle assessment of buildings in early design stages. Therefore, a methodology for construction elements of the material reinforced concrete was exemplary developed. This methodology was used to calculate guide values, which consist of a mean value, a minimum and a maximum. By means of these values, the life cycle assessment can be estimated and the vagueness of this estimation specified. As a basis for the data, the database Ökobau.dat was used. A literature research was conducted to establish the methodology together with empirical values. The implementation of the methodol-ogy was carried out with the tool Visual Studio. To save these calculated guide values, a local database was developed and implemented. The graphical assessment of these values showed that the scope of uncertainty of the life cycle assessment given by the minimum and the maximum can be very large. This is mainly due to highly different data sets for concrete in the Ökobau.dat. To use the data base developed in this the-sis, further construction elements with different materials must be added.
