The doctoral thesis analyses the obstacles to a production control within the automotive production and logistics processes by fixed order-sequence and provides a new methodical framework for the production-flow stabilisation. Central challenge is the development of a tool set and a performance measurement system for analysing the stability of the automobile production processes to achieve the necessary transparency of the negatively influencing factors. Moreover, concepts and methods supporting logistics planning are developed, which allow a stabilisation of the logistics processes. The overall goal of the approach is to reach a continuous flow of the order sequence. The methodology is applied and validated in practical examples.
