Die Epidurale Neuroplastie nach Prof. Racz, modifiziert bei den voroperierten Patien-ten in Richtung Volumenreduktion und vorsichtiger Handspüllung, hat sich im Rahmen unserer Studie als eine sichere, wirkungsvolle und komplikationsarme Methodik im klinischen Alltag gezeigt. Sie stellt eine sinnvolle Ergänzung der bekannten Therapieverfahren dar. Die Voraussetzung eines guten Ergebnisses ist eine sorgfältige Indikationsstellung und eine saubere Durchführung der Kathetertherapie. Wir können den Stellenwert dahingehend ergänzen, dass bei chronischem Postnucleotomiesyndrom und akutem Bandscheibenvorfall gute bis sehr gute Ergebnisse erzielt werden können, während bei fortgeschrittenem degenerativem Syndrom und vor allem bei Spinalstenose keine bzw. keine anhaltende Besserung zu erwarten ist.      «

In this study, the Professor Racz epidural neuroplasty procedure, modified in patients previously operated on toward a volume reduction and careful manual injection, showed to be a safe, effective method for clinical use with a very low complication rate. It represents a relevant addition to the established therapeutical procedures. The prerequisite of a good result is its correct indication and a careful execution of the catheter therapy. We can confirm good und very good effect of the catheter therapy in patients with chronic failed back syndromes and acute nucleus pulposus prolaps. In patients with degenerative syndromes and spinal stenosis no lasting improvement is to be expected.     «
