Die vorliegende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Frage, in wieweit die neue diagnostische Untersuchungsmöglichkeit mittels der PET/MR der klinisch etablierten PET/CT bei der Rezidivdiagnostik des Prostatakarzinoms überlegen ist. Zu diesem Zweck wurde bei 75 Patienten im Anschluss an ein 11C-Cholin PET/CT ein 11C-Cholin PET/MR-Protokoll durchgeführt. Zusammenfassend zeigt sich, dass das PET/MR in der Detektion des Lokalrezidivs der PET/CT überlegen ist und eine erhebliche Strahleneinsparung für den Patienten bedeutet.     «

The aim of this study is to analyse the potential superiority of PET/MR as new imaging modality compared to the standard technique PET/CT for the diagnosis of recurrent prostate cancer. Therefore 75 patients were examined using 11C-Choline PET/MR imaging in addition to the conventional 11C-Choline PET/CT imaging. Data indicate that a fully diagnostic PET/MR protocol for restaging of recurrent prostate cancer offers a higher detection rate for local recurrences and significantly reduces radiation exposure for the patient.     «
