Immunotherapies that aim to induce effective antiviral T-cell responses are a promising strategy for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B. This work provides important knowledge for developing a valid T-cell monitoring in order to establish and evaluate T-cell modulating therapies against chronic hepatitis B. Additionally, a novel TNF-alpha producing CD4 T-cell population was characterized in patients with chronic hepatitis B. Immuntherapien zur Induktion von effektiven antiviralen T-Zellantworten sind ein vielversprechender Ansatz zur Behandlung der chronischen Hepatitis B. Diese Arbeit liefert wichtige Erkenntnisse für die Etablierung eines validen T-Zell-Monitorings zur Entwicklung und Evaluierung von neuen lmmuntherapien gegen die chronische Hepatitis B.
