This dissertation will contribute to the development of a modern Turkish real estate valuation system, based on the experience of German value calculation methods and taking into consideration recognized international valuation standards. In order to address improvements in the Turkish real estate valuation system, the current situation in Turkey is analyzed and as a solution to the existing problems, the applicability of German real estate valuation knowledge is assessed. An analytical comparison of both countries’ valuation standards is made in regard to the wider European situation. The result constitutes concrete recommendations for the development of the Turkish real estate valuation system.
