This thesis deals with the well-posedness of the model behind the method "Image Inpainting Based On Coherence Transport". The model is a quasi-linear PDE of the first order on a bounded two-dimensional domain with BV boundary data. A general theory for problems of this type is developed which establishes the existence, uniqueness, and continuous dependence of a solution. Finally, it will be shown that the inpainting model fits into the framework of this theory from which the well-posedness is infered.      «

Diese Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Wohlgestellheit der Modellgleichung, die der Methode "Image Inpainting Based On Coherence Transport" zu Grunde liegt. Das Modell ist eine quasilineare PDG erster Ordnung auf einem beschränkten zweidimensionalen Gebiet zusammen mit BV-Randdaten. Für solche Probleme wird eine allgemeine Theorie zur Sicherung von Existenz, Eindeutigkeit und stetiger Abhängigkeit einer Lösung entwickelt.
