In dieser Arbeit wurde mit immunhistochemischen Färbungen und ELISAs die Auswirkung von Radiotherapie auf die Expression und Lokalisation von uPA, PAI-1 und VEGF in drei unterschiedlich strahlensensiblen Xenograft-Tumoren untersucht. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass sich während einer Strahlentherapie sowohl die Expression (PAI-1, VEGF) als auch die Lokalisation (uPA, PAI-1) deutlich verändert. Somit könnten bereits begonnene Strahlentherapien an den jeweiligen Tumortyp angepasst werden.

In this study, we investigated the influence of radiation on the expression and localisation of uPA, PAI-1 and VEGF in three xenografttumors of variable radiosensitivity by immunhistochemical staining and ELISA. The results of this study suggest that the expression (PAI-1, VEGF), as well as the localisation (uPA, PAI-1) of these proteins alter significantly during radiation. If these results are confirmed it may be possible to adjust radiation of the particular tumortype during treatment.
