Abstract:
Extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) is applied successfully in various orthopedic disorders. Since shockwaves have demonstrated significant bactericidal effectiveness in vitro, safety and effectiveness of ESWT in vivo were evaluated in a rabbit model of osteomyelitis.
