Abstract:
In this paper, we present time-domain measurements for characterization of 5G massive MIMO phased arrays. EM multi-probe near-field measurements provide full EM characterization by determining field-field correlations and insight required for EDA co-design solution development. Co-design of IC, package, PCB and antennas is necessary for an efficient development of high data rate, low power communication solutions as required in 5G data links along with new measurement instrumentation.
