- Abstract:
- The thesis explores the relevance of sustainability within supply chains. The first essay shows the governance criteria's rising importance in supplier selection. The second essay reveals average weights of 51% for economic, 22% for environmental, 16% for social, and 11% for governance criteria in supplier selection. The third essay shows German apparel customers' increased willingness-to-pay of up to 200% for better ESG performance, when presented with the most effective label.

- Die Arbeit untersucht die Relevanz von Nachhaltigkeit bei Lieferketten. Der erste Aufsatz zeigt die steigende Bedeutung von Governance-Kriterien bei der Lieferantenauswahl. Der zweite Aufsatz zeigt eine durchschnittliche Gewichtung von 51% für ökonomische, 22% für ökologische, 16% für soziale und 11% für Governance-Kriterien bei der Lieferantenauswahl. Der dritte Aufsatz zeigt, dass deutsche Bekleidungskunden eine um bis zu 200% höheren Zahlungsbereitschaft für eine bessere ESG-Performance haben
