Translated abstract:
Tensile tests on dual-phase steels with a volume content of 5-15% martensite carried out rigth after cooling from the intercritical anneal show a lower initial slope in the stress-strain diagram and an increasing yield strength with an increasing volume content of martensite. The initial slope is restored to the Young's modulus of the material within a few days. By means of a micromechanical finite element model, experiments and a calculation of carbon diffusion to dislocations it is shown, that prestrains and -stresses due to the accommodation of the volume expansion associated with the austenite to martensite phase transformation during quenching and pinning of mobile dislocations by diffusing carbon during aging are the main courses for the observed mechanical behaviour of dual-phase steels.
