Abstract:
This thesis explores multitrophic interactions in the okra-associated invertebrate community and their effect on okra yield. The thesis proves that interspecific interactions vary with several factors such as plant variety, crop identity, plant density, presence of ants and belowground organisms. Applications of such knowledge for okra pest control and for enhanced plant yield are discussed.
