In the submitted dissertation a new process has been developed that includes both the decontamination of heavy metal loaded soils and the cleaning of the accrued extracts. The decontamination of the soil matrices is performed by extraction with aquous solutions of a nonionic surfactant while adding of a selective ligand from the class of N-acylthiourea as well as an electrolyte. The accrued extracts are cleaned by single cloud point extractions whereby the heavy metal complexes as well as the surfactant are concentrated in a small volume phase. The isolation of the heavy metals from the applied additives succeeded by an acidic reextraction by means of a second temperature-induced phase separation. The separated additives can be conducted in a closed circuit afterwards.
