- Abstract:
- The emergence of Urban Air Mobility (UAM) has necessitated the demand for effective flight control approaches that can adequately satisfy the requirements pertaining to operation of novel aircraft configurations in urban airspace. In that context, this thesis presents methods to facilitate design of unified flight control strategies for all flight phases – hover, transition and wingborne of Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) transition aircraft, which are being developed in the UAM ecosystem.

- Die Urban Air Mobility (UAM) bedingt die Nachfrage nach effektiven Flugregelungsansätzen, welche den Anforderungen in Bezug auf die Operation neuartiger Flugkonfigurationen in urbanen Luftraum gerecht werden können. Die vorliegende Dissertation zeigt Methoden auf, wie das Design von vereinheitlichten Flugregelungsstrategien für alle Flugphasen – Schwebeflug, Transition und Flächenflug – der vertikal start- und landefähigen Fluggeräte für den Einsatz im urbanen Luftraum vorgenommen werden kann.
