The majority of patients with congenital heart disease (CHD) reach adulthood. However, some of them suffer from impaired motor development, and also limit psychosocial as-pects such as health-related quality of life.
In this dissertation, the focus was to improve both motor skills and quality of life in pedi-atric patients with CHD using a 24-week web-based exercise intervention. Three internationally published scientific articles contributed to the generated findings presented in the following.

Die Mehrheit der Patienten mit angeborenen Herzerkrankungen (CHD) erreicht das Er-wachsenenalter. Eingeschränkte motorische Entwicklung und auch psychosoziale As-pekte wie die gesundheitsbezogene Lebensqualität können diese jedoch ein Leben lanh beeinträchtigten.
Diese Dissertation beabsichtigte mit Hilfe einer 24-wöchigen webbasierten Übungsintervention die motorischen Fähigkeiten und die Lebensqualität bei Kindern mit CHD zu ver-bessern.
