- Diese Arbeit vergleicht früh und spät erkrankte Menschen mit Demenz im fortgeschrittenen Krankheitsstadium hinsichtlich der Symptomlast, des Leidensdrucks, der (Palliativ-)Versorgung im häuslichen Umfeld und der Lebensqualität. Entsprechend des palliativmedizinischen Ansatzes wurden Einflussfaktoren auf die Lebensqualität der Patient*innen untersucht und die der Pflege geschuldete Belastung auf Angehörige analysiert.

- This dissertation compares young- and late-onset dementia patients in advanced stages of the disease with regard to symptom burden, suffering, (palliative) care in the home environment and their quality of life. According to the palliative care approach, factors influencing the quality of life of the patients were investigated and the burden of care on relatives was analyzed.
