This thesis presents the results of a survey among healthcare professionals (medical doctors, psychologists/psychotherapists, psychosocial therapists, caregivers). It examines the implementation status of the current German S3 guideline for schizophrenia published in 2019 and four key recommendations, attitudes towards the concept of a living guideline, the barriers and facilitators to guideline adherence for both the classic print version of the German schizophrenia guideline and the concept of a living guideline, and healthcare professionals’ preferences for using living guidelines.
