Abstract:
Recently, the breast imaging community focused on the clinical implementation of three-dimensional attenuation-based breast computed tomography (BCT) and on developing grating-based phase-contrast mammography and BCT. By combining this technology with photon-counting detectors, spectral differential phase contrast (SDPC) X-ray imaging can be performed providing material-selective images with a decreased noise level. This work addresses, first, the experimental quasi-monochromatic investigation of grating-based phase-contrast BCT and, second, simulations of SDPC mammography and BCT.
