Abstract:
The autonomic nervous system plays a relevant role in development and progression of pancreatic cancer (PCa). In the presented dissertation, we investigated the role of indirect cholinergic activation in PCa progression through MTT-viability, invasion, immunohistochemistry, immunoblotting, flow-cytometric-cell-cycle assays, phospho-kinase arrays and xenografted mice. Inhibition of acetylcholinesterase diminished PCa cell growth and invasiveness in vitro and in vivo and led to immune modulation....     »
