- Abstract:
- Research about processing of visceral pain is important to understand mechanisms of gastro-intestinal diseases. Operant tests in visceral nociception are models for structural cerebral changes seen in chronic abdominal pain patients. The present work provides a novel protocol to examine conditioned place avoidance (CPA) in mice experiencing visceral pain in a spatial orientation task. We achieved a pain model in mice that includes a complex visceral pain memory and emotion representation.

- Um Mechanismen vieler GI-Erkrankungen zu verstehen muss die zentrale Verarbeitung viszeraler Schmerzen erforscht werden. Operante Tests der viszeralen Nozizeption sind nötig um analoge strukturelle Veränderungen im ZNS zu zeigen. Diese Arbeit soll ein neues Protokoll zur Untersuchung der conditioned place avoidance (CPA) von Mäusen mit viszeralem Schmerz als Stimulus in einem räumlichen Kontext liefern. Das hier etablierte Model beinhaltet ein komplexes viszerales Schmerzgedächtnis bei Mäusen.
