Kurzfassung:
One of the key problems of inductive stimulation is the extreme inefficiency compared to other stimulation methods. This does not only challenge devices, but also limits the application spectrum. Regarding the spatial perspective on this problem, neuromuscular magnetic stimulation is discussed as an ambitious method in rehabilitation. Based on high-resolution models, the force responses can be notably increased. In the temporal dimension, this work abandons the linear view, which is prevalent in magnetic stimulation, and presents an analysis as well as a systematic optimization of the stimulation dynamics based on nonlinear descriptions. For the generation of pulses, a topology is proposed which can provide—in contrast to simple oscillator circuits—nearly arbitrary current profiles.
