Abstract:

Translated abstract:
Prospects for a future cost optimal power and heat generation structure in Germany are presented within the scope of this thesis. For this purpose an existing electric energy model is expanded by a model of the heat sector. An extensive research and processing of data provide the necessary input data to the model. The optimal portfolios of electrical and thermal generation units and storages are determined for several scenarios under emission constraints. Evidence is found that a tighter coupling of the power sector and the heat sector offers significant potential for cost reduction.
