HEV, active gear, thermal analysis, parallel hybrid, integrated power electronics

The presented work describes the development of a new hybrid concept.
The core of the concept is the spatial integration of electro components – electric machine and power electronics – into the automatic gearbox and the substitution of the hydrodynamic torque converter. The work places a particular emphasis on the thermal analysis. Within a property identification supported by simulations the components with their mechanical and electrical loads and the resulting thermal characteristics in the vehicle environment are examined. The feasibility of the concept with respect to the thermal behavior is approved by the results of simulations.
