- Abstract:
- Rab GTPases are central regulators of intracellular vesicular trafficking. Thus, they are frequently affected by pathogenic proteins through post-translational modifications. This work represents the effects of GtgE- and RRSP-mediated proteolytic modification of small GTPases. Additionally, it provides information about an exclusive target of the enzyme SopD secreted by Salmonella during infection.

- Rab-GTPasen sind zentrale Regulatoren des intrazellulären vesikulären Transports. Daher werden sie häufig durch die posttranslationale Modifikationen von pathogenen Proteinen beeinflusst. Diese Arbeit stellt die Auswirkungen GtgE- und RRSP-vermittelter proteolytischer Modifikationen kleiner GTPasen dar. Zusätzlich liefert sie Informationen über ein exklusives Target des Enzyms SopD, das von Salmonellen während der Infektion sezerniert wird.
