Abstract:

Translated abstract:
The scope of the thesis is the synthesis and the characterization of macrocyclic Iron-NHC-complexes. In doing so, the elegant synthesis strategies with iron-based enzymes and molecules performed by nature are transferred to compounds synthetized in the laboratory. The starting material is a tetra-(NHC)-Iron(II)-complex with a high structural analogy to the heme-system. Based on this compound, modifications of the trans-axial ligand are carried out, as well as a conversion with molecular oxygen and a one-electron-oxidant is performed.
