- Die Dissertation erforscht ökologische und ökonomische Aspekte von Wohnraumluftsanlagen. Lüftungsanlagen mit Wärmerückgewinnung versprechen Energieeffizienz, jedoch sind Unsicherheiten im Nutzerverhalten und ökonomische Bedenken Gegenargumente. Langzeitmessungen zeigen Energieeinsparpotenzial, aber Lebenszyklusanalysen enthüllen höhere Kosten und Umweltauswirkungen. Die Dissertation bestätigt, dass Wohnraumluftanlagen weder ökologisch noch ökonomisch sinnvoll sind.

- The dissertation explores ecological and economic aspects of residential air ventilation systems. Ventilation systems with heat recovery promise energy efficiency, but uncertainties in user behavior and economic concerns are counterarguments. Long-term measurements show energy-saving potential, but life cycle analyses reveal higher costs and environmental impacts. The dissertation confirms that residential air ventilation systems are neither ecologically nor economically viable.
