This dissertation investigates the creation of added value and the organization of companies in the construction sector. The methodical bases are the Value Chain of Porter and other management tools from business processes management. The Value Chain and cost analysis are followed by a Cross-Impact approach to investigate the interactive structures. Finally, an organizational concept is presented as an integrative process map leading to a positioning-model for construction companies in a competitive market with respect to the creation of added value and particular organization schemes.
