- Abstract:
- In der retrospektiven Kohortenstudie wurde anhand verschiedener Messgrößen eine mögliche Assoziation von HSV-1 in der bronchoalveolären Spülflüssigkeit bei intensivstationspflichtigen Patienten mit dem Ausmaß der Lungenschädigung überprüft. Außerdem wurden die klinischen Folgen einer HSV-1-Lungenbesiedelung untersucht. Nach den Ergebnissen der Studie ist nicht von einer Assoziation von HSV-1 im unteren Respirationstrakt mit dem Ausmaß einer Lungenschädigung und dem klinischen Outcome auszugehen.

- The retrospective cohort study examined, on the basis of various parameters, the possible association of HSV-1 in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid in patients requiring intensive care with the extent of their lung damage. In addition, the clinical consequences of HSV-1 lung colonization were investigated. The results of the study do not suggest an association of HSV-1 in the lower respiratory tract with either the extent of the lung damage or the clinical outcome of patients.
