This cumulative thesis includes two first-authored publications on the utilization of microalgae biomass as a source for industrialized fuel, food and cosmetic Additive products. Current technical antioxidants and vitamins production largely rely on total chemical synthesis. In this thesis, alternative microalgae based production routes are developed, which provide a potential renewable source for said products. The presentation includes a novel class of technical antioxidants and microalgae biomass that harbours the highest folate concentrations detected to date.
