Abstract:
Die EAGLE-Studie ist eine DFG-geförderte Studie zur frühen zielgerichteten Volumentherapie der schwerer akuten Pankreatitis. Im Rahmen einer Zwischenauswertung von 108 der geplanten 182 Patienten wurde der APACHE-II-Score in seiner Eignung als Einschlusskriterium und primärer Endpunkt der EAGLE-Studie validiert. Dabei erwies sich der APACHE-II-Score von ≥ 8 Punkten binnen 48 Stunden als geeignetes Einschlusskriterium. Als Surrogatparameter der Mortalität zeigte sich dessen Anstieg von ≥ 4 Punkten innerhalb von 96 Stunden als geeigneter primärer Endpunkt der Studie.

The APACHE-II- score was validated as an inclusion criterion and primary endpoint of the EAGLE study based on an interim evaluation of 108 of the planned 182 patients. The APACHE-II-score of ≥ 8 points within 48 hours proved to be a suitable inclusion criterion.
