Abstract:

Regulated cell death mechanisms play an important role in pathogenesis and progression of Myelodysplastic Syndromes. This thesis shows disease stage correlated expression of RIPK3 - a protein involved in inflammation and necroptosis - in primary bone marrow samples from patients suffering from MDS and CMML. In the high-risk MDS cohort the combined therapy of venetoclax and 5-AZA seems to be a promising approach even after 5-AZA-failure.
