Prof. Alfred Wolff-Eisner (*1877 Berlin, †1948 Munich) was a german-jewish internist,, bacteriologist, immunologist and allergist at the Charité hospital in Berlin. His ophthalmoreaktion was used to detect tuberculosis in humans and pets. He recognized the allergic genesis of hay-fever and was an early pioneer of allergen-specific immunotherapy. He became a victim of National Socialism. After liberation from Theresienstadt concentration camp he relentlessly reported on the medical consequences of internment.
