As part of the present doctoral thesis, a more environmentally friendly, phosphoric acid-based synthesis concept was developed for the production of peroxyacids in the detergent industry. The aim of this sustainable alternative is to gradually replace the standard procedure for the synthesis via Caro’s acid. In addition, the catalytic activity of two NHC iron epoxidation catalysts were tested considering axial and equatorial modifications at the metal complex.
