This thesis is about the development of objectoriented classification strategies for automatic landuse assessment from high resolution remote sensing data. IKONOS satellite images, multitemporal aerial images and data-fusion approaches were analysed, in order to collect large-scale landuse data. Main item was the development of a structured procedure for an objectoriented classification project. This procedure was tested successfully in three case studies. In doing so, different aspects of the objectoriented approach were analysed in a study site in Southern Germany.
