-2,6 times (0,25 %) that of 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD). TCPT proved to be a non-persistent compound with an elimination half-life of 5.42 h in rats and 2.71 h in guinea pigs. In several instances, an analogy between TCPT and TCDD could be found. However, other results showed the effects of the difference in structure, leading to findings in TCPT that question a general analogy.
