This thesis deals with the problems associated with blind channel estimation for multicarrier transmission. A low complexity algorithm for blind channel estimation for OFDM transmission is presented. This algorithm requires only addition/subtraction operations. In addition, an algorithm is developed which can be used to increase the rate of convergence of a blind channel estimation scheme. This approach is based on an additional filtering of the channel estimates. The required filter coefficients can be determined blindly, as well. Furthermore, an extension of the Levinson-Durbin algorithm is presented in order to solve the Wiener-Hopf equation iteratively.
