A simulation model is developed in order to calculate the dynamic interaction between a nonlinearly modelled vehicle and its track. The slab track rests on a three-dimensional layered halfspace. Both slab track and halfspace are characterised by a linear behaviour. By the aid of the Fourier- and the Wavelet-transform one-dimensional impulse response functions are calculated for the coupled track-subsoil-system. In the subsequent non-linear time-step-integration they replace the behaviour of the track-subsoil-system. As a result, the interaction forces are obtained. Using the Fourier- and the Wavelet-transform, finally the wave-propagation in the soil due to the moving nonlinear vehicle are calculated.
