- Abstract:
- This dissertation investigates how companies govern open source software (OSS) activities and ensure OSS compliance. More concretely, the first study investigates how companies ensure a compliant behavior towards OSS communities, while enabling their units to manage contributions with a certain degree of flexibility. The three remaining studies are dedicated to the phenomenon of OSS compliance certification. They examine its role in the software supply chain and identify drivers and deterrents.

- Diese Dissertation untersucht, wie Unternehmen ihre Open Source Software (OSS) Aktivitäten steuern und OSS Compliance sicherstellen. Konkret untersucht die erste Studie, wie Unternehmen ein konformes Verhalten gegenüber OSS Communities sicherstellen und gleichzeitig ihre Abteilungen in die Lage versetzen, Beiträge mit einem gewissen Maß an Flexibilität zu managen. Die drei übrigen Studien analysieren die Rolle einer OSS-Compliance-Zertifizierung bei der Auswahl von Software-Lieferanten.
