This thesis presents various searches for neutrino emission from AGN. Using 13 years of IceCube internal data, we reassess the neutrino flux from NGC 1068 and search for neutrino emission from 47 newly selected X-ray bright AGN. We find a 3.3σ binomial excess from 11 objects. Using newly developed open-source software, we analyze IceCube's public data and find that external claims of blazar-neutrino correlation are likely due to statistical fluctuations, consistently with a small neutrino contribution from blazars.
