Sterile neutrinos in the keV mass range present a viable dark matter candidate. The KATRIN experiment aims to search for their imprint in the tritium beta decay spectrum with its new multi-pixel SDD system currently in development. The detector system is called TRISTAN and consists of nine identical detector modules. In this work, the assembly procedure of the modules has been developed, and the spectroscopic properties, such as energy resolution and stability, have been investigated for one detector module.
