This work contributes to the efficient enhancement of computer-aided prediction performance for the vibration and noise behavior of gearboxes that run under steady-state operating conditions. For this purpose, first the calculation of the sound generation by the characteristic power transmission process of an involute gear is focused. Furthermore, the numerical simulation of the free and forced vibrations within their propagation in the associated gear system is the subject of this research thesis.
