Sessile and pedunculate oak are important tree species for the establishment of mixed species stands in Central Europe. The thesis therefore investigates their height growth potential, their productivity as well as their regeneration potential. The results show that, in addition to site conditions, the structure of the stand influences the growth performance. Thus, the thesis deepens the knowledge about the potential of oaks as a component of structured mixed stands and can be used to adapt silvicultural management options.
