Abstract:
Brain tumor is a devastating disease with a poor prognosis despite advances in recent years. The combination of surgery and standard radiochemotherapy represents the optimal treatment for combating this lethal condition. In this study, we have investigated the role of ischemic preconditioning and residual tumor volume in the surgical treatment of brain tumors.

Hirntumore sind eine verheerende Krankheit mit schlechter Prognose trotz medizinischer Fortschritten in den letzten Jahren. Die Kombination aus Operation und Radiochemotherapie stellt die optimale Behandlung zur Bekämpfung dieses tödlichen Zustands dar. In dieser Studie haben wir die Rolle der ischämischen Präkonditionierung und des Resttumorvolumens in der chirurgischen Behandlung von Hirntumoren untersucht.
