- Abstract:
- A key challenge for teachers is diagnosing student learning. A newly developed video-based simulation for preservice mathematics teachers representing an on-the-fly diagnostic situation is introduced. The simulation is applicable in initial teacher education and useable for measuring preservice teachers’ diagnostic skills. Results of the dissertation indicate the validity of the simulation and provide insights into the diagnostic process. Different diagnostic activities are investigated.

- Diagnostizieren im Unterricht ist eine wichtige Aufgabe von Lehrkräften. Es wird eine neuentwickelte videobasierte Simulation für angehende Mathematiklehrkräfte vorgestellt. Die Simulation ist für den Einsatz in der Hochschullehre und zur Messung von Diagnosekompetenzen von angehenden Lehrkräften konzipiert worden. Die Ergebnisse der Dissertation zeigen die Validität der Simulation und geben Einblicke in den diagnostischen Prozess. Dabei werden verschiedene diagnostische Aktivitäten untersucht.
